For this class you will need: 

One or two fat-quarter size pieces of pale(ish) plain fabric.

Wadding/Batting - softer, thicker, bouncier is better. 80/20 cotton/polyester OR wool OR high loft polyester.

Water soluble thread - light/fine if your machine is good with thread, extra/thicker if your machine chews/breaks thread. e.g Superior threads vanish light / vanish extra (or any other brands are fine)

Lightweight thread for the bobbin.

Gripper mat (Philippa uses cheap gripper matting from home depot type suppliers) or quilting gloves.

For the  corded trapunto:

Butter Muslin (UK) OR Cheesecloth (USA)   (two names for the same thing) 

Chunky yarn acrylic or woollen - white if you can find it otherwise light.

Tapestry needles (large eye and blunt) size 16 or bigger (e.g. size 13)
