Are you ready to start learning the secrets award winning quilters use in their amazing competition quilts?

If you want to improve your quilting, the best way is to learn from someone who is already winning awards for their quilts. Even better if they are an experienced teacher with a fun style and a wealth of techniques.

Yes please - I want to learn the secrets

My name is Philippa Naylor, and my quilts have won major competitions including 'Best of Show' winners at both Paducah and the Festival Of Quilts - Birmingham (England), many first place winners in a variety of categories, and Bernina and Pfaff machine artistry awards. Three of my quilts are on display in the collection of the National Quilt Museum in Kentucky.

I make my living teaching and writing books on quilting, but before I discovered quilting I was a lingerie designer for Courtaulds, and then ran a business designing and creating bespoke ball gowns and wedding dresses. I have skills in all aspects of quilting  and sewing, and I would love to share with you the techniques I have developed.

Quilters' Question Time is my online training school where each month I will teach you everything you need to know to improve a specific area of your quilting.

We will start by looking at which materials and tools to use to get best results. How to set up your machine for each type of work, including thread, tension, stitch length, feet and stitch plates. You will learn different techniques to achieve top quality results - and I will also explain why I have chosen those techniques, and I will show you the exact methods I use to make them look the best they possibly can. We will also look at asthetic and artistic considerations - how to create designs which look great and win competitions (or just impress your friends and family). And if you have ever taken a class with me you know we will have some fun and stories along the way.

What people are saying...

I feel like I have just done a two day workshop, with the amount I have learned just from this module. My block is looking so much better than I have ever done before - and I'm nowhere near a beginner at quilting.

Corinne

Just finished this class and wow! I've never sewn such an accurate block. I really learned a lot of tips and tricks to help improve my piecing as well as realizing why sometimes my triangle piecing doesn't always come out just right.

Karen

As usual, I have learned so much; even though I have sewn since I was 14 and I am now 71, I stilled learned more detail to help me do the best I can. This is what I want and why I am taking your on-line course.

Sandra

Absolutely brilliant Philippa. This class has given me a great insight into improving my methods. Your explanations and instructions are so clear, it really does help me to understand better when you explain why you do certain things.

Simone

I’ve been following Philippa’s progress for many years and we have been delighted to have her come and talk at Oast Quilters in Canterbury. My quilting techniques always take a massive step forward when I have attended one of Philippa’s classes; she is a tremendous teacher.

Liz

I have been lucky enough to attend many of Philippa's courses, and loved every minute of them. She is so generous with her knowledge and its great to think that many more people can now learn from her.

Adrienne

Philippa, I just finished watching the first lesson of your series - it was wonderful. So well done, just like you would be in class. I'm really going to enjoy this. Thank you.

Donna

I’ve been a Philippa groupie for many years. I’ve not had the chance to take a class in person, so this is the next best thing. Super excited to learn from a true master quilter!

Lisa

Have binge watched the first lessons on piping and binding and already learnt so much to improve my techniques. So much information and clear instruction, thank you Phillipa, am really looking forward to trying them out on my next project.
