Philippa shows you everything you need to know to create this beautiful Dimension Applique Flower Basket Block, including:
- Five different types of flower
- Three different types of leaf
- Rouleau for the basket
- Tips on design and layout
Starting with flowers you will learn to create rose and carnation like flowers, rouched flowers, flowers with individual petals, Maltese cross flowers, Suffolk puffs to use as the centres, and finally tiny flower buds. Moving on to leaves, you will learn to create strappy leaves, turned through leaves with and without wiring, and satin stitch leaves.
Finally you will learn how to make a bagged out basket with wadding/batting, and how to use Rouleau strips to create interest.
