We are lucky to live in a world of seemingly endless choices, not least in the range of fabrics and threads available to us as quilt-makers and garment creators. In this live online workshop Philippa shares the knowledge she has gained in an amazing 5 decades of stitch, to help you understand more about man-made and natural fibres and fabrics.

The workshop will be broadcast live via your QQT library (not YouTube!) on Tuesday 1st October at 7pm UK time - and last around 90 minutes with extra time to answer questions. If you can not make the live broadcast the replay will be available immediately after the live session has finished.

After viewing the workshop you will understand the characteristics of the main types of thread - including when and why you might choose them. You will also have a better understanding of different types of fabrics so that you can make more informed fabric choices for your quilts and garments.
